Pumpkin Spice Gooey Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 can pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine the spice cake mix, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake batter in the dish.
6. Pour the remaining cake batter over the cream cheese layer and spread gently to cover.
7. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the top.
8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
9. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving to allow the gooey layers to set.
