Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings
2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
2 tablespoons honey (optional for a touch of sweetness)
Juice of 1 lime
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, jerk seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well to form a marinade.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat thoroughly in the marinade. Allow the wings to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.
Arrange the wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
If desired, brush the wings with honey in the last 5 minutes of baking for a glossy, slightly sweet finish.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh lime wedges or chopped cilantro for a vibrant presentation.
