🍖 Air Fryer Beef Jerky 🌶️
Sweet, smoky, and perfectly chewy—homemade jerky in under 3 hours!
⏱ Prep Time: 10 mins (+ 1 hour marinate) | 🔥 Cook Time: 2-3 hours | 🍽 Yield: ~1 lb
📝 Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) beef sirloin tip steak, sliced ¼-inch thick (freeze for 30 mins first to make slicing easier!) 🥩
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp garlic powder 🧄
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp black pepper ⚫
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (or ½ tsp smoked paprika for less heat) 🌶️
(Optional: 1 tbsp liquid smoke for extra depth!)
👨🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add beef strips, toss to coat, and marinate 1 hour (or overnight for max flavor).
2️⃣ Air Fry:
Preheat air fryer to 180°F (80°C) (or lowest setting; some models start at 160°F).
Arrange beef in a single layer on trays (no overlapping!). Work in batches if needed.
Cook 2-3 hours, flipping halfway, until dry but still chewy. (Thicker cuts may take longer.)
3️⃣ Cool & Store:
Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container (up to 2 weeks).
