Easter Choco Tacos 🌸🍫🌮
Ingredients:
For the Pizzelle Shells:
• 3 large eggs
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
For the Filling & Toppings:
• 1 1/2 cups vanilla or chocolate ice cream (or your favorite flavor)
• 1 cup milk chocolate chips, melted
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
• Pastel sprinkles, crushed candy, or mini M&M’s (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Make the Pizzelle Shells:
1 Preheat the pizzelle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2 In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
3 Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract until combined.
4 In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
5 Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
6 Spoon about 1 tablespoon of batter onto the preheated pizzelle iron and close the lid. Cook for 30-40 seconds, or until golden brown.
7 While still warm, quickly drape the pizzelle over a rolling pin or taco holder to shape into a taco shell. Let them cool and harden.
2. Assemble the Choco Tacos:
1 Melt the milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in separate bowls.
2 Dip the edges of the cooled pizzelle taco shells into the melted chocolate and sprinkle with pastel sprinkles or crushed candy. Let set.
3 Fill each shell with a scoop of ice cream.
4 Drizzle with additional melted chocolate and top with extra sprinkles for a festive touch!
