Million Dollar Garlic Herb Beef Tenderloin
Ingredients:
1 (3-4 lb) beef tenderloin, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup beef broth
Directions:
Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels to ensure the seasoning sticks. Drizzle olive oil all over the meat, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Next, season generously with garlic, rosemary, thyme, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Make sure the herbs and spices cover the tenderloin thoroughly.
In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, carefully add the beef tenderloin to the pan. Sear it for 2-3 minutes on each side until it achieves a golden-brown crust.
Once the beef has a nice sear, pour melted butter over the top. Add beef broth around the tenderloin, letting it pool gently at the bottom of the pan.
Transfer the skillet to your preheated oven and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare. Adjust the time depending on your preferred level of doneness.
Once the beef is cooked to your liking, take it out of the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes. This ensures the juices stay inside, making it tender and flavorful.
Slice the beef into thick pieces and spoon the pan juices over the top. Serve immediately for a truly mouthwatering experience!
