🧀 Turkey Ham & Cheese Butter Swim Biscuits 🥓
Ingredients:
Biscuits:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
¾ cup buttermilk
1 tbsp garlic powder (optional)
Filling:
8 oz sliced deli turkey
8 oz sliced deli ham
8 oz shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
2 tbsp butter (for toasting)
Garlic Butter:
¼ cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
½ tsp paprika
Instructions:
Make Biscuits:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add buttermilk; mix until dough forms.
Roll dough into 8 balls. Place on a baking sheet. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden. Split biscuits open and set aside.
Toast Biscuits:
Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Lightly toast biscuit halves until golden (1–2 minutes per side).
Assemble Biscuits:
Layer each biscuit half with turkey, ham, and cheese. Close biscuits and place in a buttered baking dish.
Make Garlic Butter:
Melt butter in a small pan. Add garlic, parsley, and paprika. Drizzle over biscuits.
Bake:
Bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes until cheese melts and biscuits are bubbly.
Serve:
Drizzle extra garlic butter on top. Serve hot with hot sauce or a side salad.
