2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb lump crab meat
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Directions:
Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil.
Add onion and bell pepper and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.
Stir in garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp, season with Cajun seasoning and paprika, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
Gently fold in crab meat and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice.
Simmer the sauce for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more Cajun spice.
