🇫🇷 Hachis Parmentier (French Shepherd’s Pie) 🥔 A beloved French comfort dish—creamy mashed potatoes layered over savory seasoned beef and baked to golden perfection!
Ingredients:
• 500g minced beef
• 1kg potatoes
• 100ml milk
• 30g butter
• 1 onion
• 2 garlic cloves
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• Salt and pepper
• Fresh thyme (for garnish)
• Nutmeg (optional)
• Grated cheese (optional topping)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Mash with milk, butter, salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if desired.
2️⃣ In a pan, sauté chopped onion and garlic in olive oil. Add minced beef, cook until browned and fully cooked. Season well.
3️⃣ Spread cooked beef into a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes, and smooth with a fork. Add grated cheese if using.
