CAJUN BEEF TORTELLINI SKILLET IN PARMESAN CREAM

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
12 oz cheese tortellini
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

1. Cook the Tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add tortellini and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook beef for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks, until browned and cooked through. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, letting it simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
Stir in shredded mozzarella cheese and cook until melted and smooth.
4. Combine Tortellini and Beef:
Add the cooked tortellini and browned beef back into the skillet with the Parmesan cream sauce. Toss everything to combine and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy, cheesy Cajun flavor!
