Spicy Cajun Beef Bowtie Pasta

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 oz bowtie pasta
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions:

1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up as it browns, until fully cooked through. Drain excess fat and set aside.
2. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) into the cooked beef. Sauté for another minute to allow the spices to bloom.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
5. Meanwhile, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.
6. Once the sauce has thickened, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
7. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add the reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
