Orange Creamsicle Cake

Ingredients:

For the Cake:
1 box white cake mix
1 cup orange soda
½ cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 box (3 oz) orange Jello powder

For the Cream Filling:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp orange zest (optional)

For Garnish:
Orange sprinkles
Fresh orange slices

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Prepare the Cake Batter: In a bowl, beat cake mix, orange soda, oil, eggs, and orange Jello powder until smooth. Divide evenly between pans.
Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cakes cool completely.
Make the Cream Filling: Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
