Nutella Cupcakes Recipe
Makes: 12 cupcakes

Ingredients
For the Cupcakes:
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
½ cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup (120ml) buttermilk
¼ cup (60ml) hot water or coffee
½ cup (150g) Nutella (for filling)
For the Nutella Frosting:
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups (250g) powdered sugar
½ cup (150g) Nutella
2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. Make the Cupcake Batter
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk.
Stir in hot water or coffee until smooth.
3. Bake the Cupcakes
Divide batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling about ¾ full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cupcakes cool completely.
4. Fill with Nutella
Use a knife or piping tip to create a small hole in the center of each cupcake.
Fill each hole with about 1 tsp of Nutella.
5. Make the Nutella Frosting
Beat butter until creamy.
Add powdered sugar and mix until combined.
Add Nutella, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until fluffy.
6. Decorate
Pipe or spread the frosting onto the cooled cupcakes.
Optional: drizzle with extra Nutella or add chocolate shavings.
