Cheeseburger Pie
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Bisquick mix
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
Optional: diced pickles or tomatoes for topping
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onion is softened. Drain excess fat.
Season the beef mixture with salt and pepper. Spread evenly into a greased 9-inch pie dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until smooth.
Pour the Bisquick mixture over the meat and cheese in the pie dish.
Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Top with diced pickles or tomatoes if desired.
