A full-on breakfast flex β juicy seared steak topped with herbed butter, spicy shrimp over creamy grits, fluffy scrambled eggs, buttery biscuit, and crispy breakfast potatoes with peppers & ham. This ainβt no cereal morning. This is grown folk breakfast. π€π½οΈ
π Whatβs on the Plate:
π₯© For the Ribeye Steak:
1 thick-cut ribeye steak
Salt, black pepper, garlic powder
1 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp butter
Optional: garlic cloves + rosemary/thyme for basting
Finish with herb butter on top
π€ For the Shrimp & Grits:
Β½ lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika
1 tbsp butter + 1 tsp olive oil
1 cup quick grits
2 cups water or chicken broth
Β½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or gouda hits hard)
1 tbsp butter + a splash of cream
π³ For the Scrambled Eggs:
4 eggs
Splash of milk or cream
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp butter
π₯ For the Breakfast Potatoes:
2β3 small potatoes, diced
ΒΌ cup ham or smoked sausage, chopped
Bell peppers + onions
Paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper
Olive oil for frying
π₯ For the Biscuit:
Store-bought or homemade buttermilk biscuit
Brush with butter right out the oven
π₯ How to Make It All Come Together:
Start with the Potatoes:
Toss in oil & seasonings. Roast or pan-fry until golden and crispy. Add ham & peppers near the end.
Get the Grits Goinβ:
Boil water/broth, whisk in grits. Lower heat, stir often till thick. Add butter, cheese, and a lil cream for richness.
Sear the Steak:
Pat dry, season well. Sear on high heat 3β4 mins per side (adjust for doneness). Baste with butter & herbs. Rest before slicing.
Cook the Shrimp:
SautΓ© in butter/oil with seasoning. Cook 1β2 mins per side till just pink. Serve right over those creamy grits.
Scramble the Eggs:
Low heat, buttered pan, gentle stir. Keep βem soft & fluffy.
Warm That Biscuit:
Serve hot and buttery, maybe hit it with some honey or jam if youβre feelinβ sweet π
