Ingredients
11.25 ounces Texas Toast Garlic (8 slices)
2 lbs Ground Beef (80/20)
1.31 ounces Sloppy Joe Mix Packet (McCormick) or homemade spices
24 ounces Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce or homemade sauce
2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Fresh Parsley for topping, optional
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the frozen Texas toast slices evenly apart.
Bake the Texas toast according to the instructions on the box.
Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until about 90% cooked through. Drain the excess grease into a heat-safe container.
Add the Sloppy Joe seasoning to the ground beef and continue cooking until fully cooked.
Pour in the Sloppy Joe sauce, stir well, and cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture is thick and well combined.
Once the Texas toast is baked, remove it from the oven and evenly top each slice with the meat mixture.
Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each toast slice.
Return the topped Texas toast to the oven and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and starting to brown.
Remove from the oven and use a spatula to plate the Texas Toast Sloppy Joes.
Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
