Honey Garlic Crispy Chicken
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 cup vegetable oil, for frying
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
Directions:
Begin by cutting the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken pieces in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
In a separate saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
Once the chicken is cooked and crispy, add it to the saucepan with the honey garlic sauce. Toss to coat the chicken evenly in the sauce.
Transfer the honey garlic crispy chicken to a serving dish, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish. Serve warm and enjoy!
