Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies recipe — soft in the center, crisp on the edges, full of gooey chocolate and crunchy walnuts.
Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (200g) packed brown sugar
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup (120g) chopped walnuts (lightly toasted, if desired)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Scoop the dough (about 2 tbsp per cookie) onto the baking sheets, leaving space between each one.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers still look soft. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Tips:
Chill the dough for 30 minutes if you want thicker cookies.
Sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty finish.
