Homemade Taco Bell Nacho Fries
Ingredients:
For the Seasoned Fries:
4 large russet potatoes, washed and cut into fries
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt, to taste
For the Nacho Cheese Sauce:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
For Serving:
1/4 cup diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, toss the potato fries with vegetable oil, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until evenly coated.
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
Meanwhile, prepare the nacho cheese sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle the nacho cheese sauce over the fries.
Garnish with diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, and chopped fresh cilantro.
Serve immediately and enjoy the homemade goodness of Taco Bell Nacho Fries!
