Spaghetti Hoagie Rolls 🍽
Ingredients for Spaghetti Hoagie Rolls:
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
1 package of spaghetti (about 12 oz)
2 cups marinara sauce (or your favorite pasta sauce)
2 hoagie rolls (or sub rolls)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cook the Spaghetti:
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
Add the ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir. Season with basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together.
Assemble the Hoagie Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the hoagie rolls down the middle, being careful not to cut all the way through.
Lightly toast the rolls in the oven for 5-7 minutes, just enough to make them warm and slightly crisp.
Stuff the Rolls:
Once the rolls are ready, layer a generous amount of cooked spaghetti inside each roll.
Spoon the meat sauce over the spaghetti, making sure to cover it well.
Add Cheese:
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan on top of the spaghetti and sauce.
Return the stuffed rolls to the oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Garnish with a sprinkle of dried parsley or fresh basil for added flavor.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
