📋 Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups rhubarb, diced (fresh or frozen)
- 2 cups milk
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
📝 Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2. In a spacious bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
3. Stir in the diced rhubarb, milk, and melted butter until just incorporated.
4. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and pour the batter into it.
5. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean.
6. Let the cake cool to room temperature.
7. For the butter sauce, combine the butter, sugar, and heavy cream in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
