This Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta is a flavor-packed dish that brings together tender steak and juicy shrimp in a creamy sauce. Perfect for a weekday dinner or a special occasion!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb boneless sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for steak)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for shrimp)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- Salt (for pasta water)
Instructions:
1. Start by boiling a large pot of salted water for the penne pasta. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. While the pasta is cooking, prepare the seasoning for the steak and shrimp. In two small bowls, mix the following: for the steak, combine 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 1/4 tsp garlic powder; for the shrimp, mix 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
3. Rub the steak seasoning mixture onto the thinly sliced steak until evenly coated.
4. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak slices and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or to your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, add the shrimp. Sauté until they turn pink and opaque, which will take about 2-3 minutes per side. Once done, set the shrimp aside with the cooked steak.
6. Now for the creamy Alfredo sauce. In a large skillet, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 tsp dried oregano, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Stir well and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, occasionally stirring, until the sauce thickens to your liking.
7. After the sauce has thickened, add the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet. Gently stir to ensure everything is well coated with the sauce.
8. Finally, add the cooked penne pasta into the skillet with the steak, shrimp, and sauce. Toss well until the pasta is fully coated and heated through.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta!
