π Pizza Grilled Cheese
Ingredients:
For the Sandwich:
4 slices white or sourdough bread
2 tablespoons butter, softened
Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
Β½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
4 slices mozzarella cheese
ΒΌ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
12 pepperoni slices
ΒΌ cup pizza sauce
For Dipping (Optional):
Extra pizza sauce
Directions:
Prepare the Bread: Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the buttered side.
Assemble the Sandwiches: Flip the bread slices over (buttered side down). On two slices, layer 1 slice of mozzarella cheese, 6 pepperoni slices, 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella. Top with another slice of mozzarella cheese and the remaining bread slices (buttered side up).
Cook the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Cook each sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve: Slice in half and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
