ππ§ Old-Fashioned Fried Apples β Just Like Grandma Made!
Ingredients:
6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled & sliced
4 tbsp butter
Β½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
ΒΌ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
ΒΌ cup water or apple juice
Directions:
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until apples are coated.
Pour in water or apple juice and cook for 10β12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and golden.
For thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and stir in; cook 2 more minutes.
Serve warm with breakfast, over ice cream, or beside a pork roast. π¨π΄
