β€’ Β½ cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder
β€’ Β½ cup (120ml) hot water
β€’ ΒΌ cup (50g) sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)

1 Preheat & Prep:
β—¦ Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
β—¦ Grease and flour a bundt or loaf pan.
2 Make the Vanilla Batter:
β—¦ In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
β—¦ In a separate large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
β—¦ Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
β—¦ Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour. Mix until just combined.
3 Prepare Chocolate Mixture:
β—¦ In a small bowl, combine cocoa powder and hot water. Mix until smooth. Stir in sugar if using.
β—¦ Take about 1 Β½ cups of the vanilla batter and mix it with the chocolate mixture.
4 Layer & Swirl:
β—¦ Pour half of the vanilla batter into the prepared pan.
