Southern Fried Salmon Patties Recipe
Ingredients:
1 (14 3/4 oz) can salmon
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup flour
1 egg
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions:
Drain the canned salmon and place it in a mixing bowl. Remove any large bones, but leave the smaller ones if you prefer.
Add finely chopped onion, cornmeal, flour, egg, and mayonnaise to the salmon. Mix until well combined and the mixture holds together.
Shape the mixture into patties, about the size of your palm.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Carefully place the salmon patties into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil before serving.
Servings: 4-6
