Orange Crush Sherbet
Ingredients:
2 cups Orange Crush soda (or any orange-flavored soda)
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for enhanced flavor)
Directions:
Mix the Base:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Orange Crush soda and sweetened condensed milk.
Stir until well blended.
Whip the Cream:
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the orange mixture until fully incorporated.
If using, stir in the vanilla extract for an extra layer of flavor.
Freeze the Sherbet:
Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container with a lid.
Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
For best texture, stir the sherbet every hour for the first 2-3 hours to prevent ice crystals from forming.
Serve and Enjoy:
Scoop the sherbet into bowls or cones.
Optionally, top with orange zest or a drizzle of extra soda for a fizzy touch.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
