Filet Mignon with Shrimp and Lobster Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Filet Mignon:

2 filet mignon steaks (6-8 oz each)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, smashed

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

For the Shrimp:

8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

½ tbsp butter

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp paprika

1 clove garlic, minced

For the Lobster Cream Sauce:

½ cup cooked lobster meat, chopped

2 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup heavy cream

¼ cup white wine or chicken broth

¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

½ tsp Old Bay seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Directions:

Cook the Filet Mignon:

Let steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat.

Season steaks with salt and black pepper.

Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Reduce heat, add butter, garlic, and herbs, and baste for another 1-2 minutes.

Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp:

In a separate pan, melt butter over medium-high heat.

Add shrimp, season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque and pink. Remove and set aside.

Make the Lobster Cream Sauce:

In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

Pour in white wine and let it reduce for 1-2 minutes.

Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and Old Bay seasoning. Let simmer until thickened.

Add cooked lobster meat and stir until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.

Assemble & Serve:

Plate the filet mignon, spoon the lobster cream sauce over the top, and add the shrimp.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
