ingredients:
- 1 cup (140 g) rolled oats (gluten-free if needed)
- ΒΌ cup (30 g) chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons (10 g) dried seaweed flakes (nori or dulse)
- 1 tablespoon (7 g) nutritional yeast
- Β½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) garlic powder
- Β½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) onion powder
- ΒΌ teaspoon (1.25 ml) salt
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- ΒΎ cup (180 ml) water
directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, seaweed flakes, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
3. Add the olive oil and water to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a thick, slightly sticky dough forms.
4. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out very thinly (about β
inch or 3 mm thick).
5. Remove the top sheet of parchment paper. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into desired cracker shapes (squares, rectangles, etc.).
6. Carefully transfer the parchment paper with the crackers onto the baking sheet.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them as they can burn easily.
8. Let the crackers cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
9. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
