📋 Ingredients
- 8 cups Crispix cereal
- 2 cups pecan halves (preferably salted)
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
📝 Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Crispix cereal and pecan halves.
3. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter.
4. Stir until it reaches a rolling boil.
5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
6. Pour the caramel mixture over the cereal and pecans, tossing gently to coat evenly.
7. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and bake for about 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
8. Once golden brown and crisp, remove and cool on wax or parchment paper before breaking into pieces.
9. Serve as a snack or dessert.
