BUTTERSCOTCH CRISPS 1/2 cup butter or shortening 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1 (3 oz.) pkg....

BUTTERSCOTCH CRISPS
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 (3 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pudding mix
1 egg
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
chopped pecans, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream butter, sugar and pudding mix together, add egg and blend. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Blend and roll into small balls. Place on greased cookie sheet, press with fork that has been dipped in flour.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
