Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (60g) chia seeds
- 1/2 cup (60g) flax seeds, ground
- 1/2 cup (50g) sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup (30g) pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup (240ml) water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Optional: Everything bagel seasoning, red pepper flakes
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine chia seeds, ground flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and any optional seasonings.
3. Add Wet Ingredients: Add water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined and a thick, slightly sticky mixture forms. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the chia and flax seeds to absorb the water and thicken the mixture.
4. Spread the Mixture: Spread the seed mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula or your hands to press it into a thin, even layer, covering the entire baking sheet as much as possible. The thinner you spread it, the crispier the crackers will be.
5. Bake: Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy. Check them halfway through baking and score them into cracker shapes with a pizza cutter if desired, for easier breaking later.
6. Cool and Break: Let the crackers cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, break them into pieces along the scored lines or randomly. They will crisp up further as they cool.
