Red Velvet Cream Cheese Brownies
Ingredients:
For the Brownie Base:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon red food coloring
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
For the Cream Cheese Layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan and line with parchment.
In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring until smooth.
Sift in cocoa powder, salt, and flour. Mix just until combined.
Reserve 1/4 cup of the red velvet batter and pour the rest into the pan.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
Gently spread cream cheese mixture over brownie base.
Drop spoonfuls of reserved batter over the cream cheese layer. Swirl with a knife.
Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until the center is set. Let cool completely before slicing.
