Taco Bell Nacho Fries ππ§πΆοΈ
Ingredients:
2 large russet potatoes π₯
1 tablespoon vegetable oil π’οΈ
1 teaspoon garlic powder π§
1 teaspoon onion powder π§
1 teaspoon smoked paprika πΆοΈ
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) π₯
1/2 teaspoon salt π§
1/4 teaspoon black pepper β«
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese π§
1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade, warmed) π₯«
Directions:
1. Rinse the cut fries under cold water to wash away excess starch. Soak them in cold water for 20β30 minutes. This is the secret for crispy perfection when they bake or fry!
2. Drain the fries and pat them completely dry with a clean towel. In a large bowl, toss those fries with vegetable oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper until they're all nicely coated.
3. For the Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C). Spread the fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25β30 minutes, flipping halfway through until they turn golden and crispy. For the Air Fryer Method: Cook the fries at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 18β20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to get them crispy all over.
4. Transfer those hot, crispy fries to a plate or tray. Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top and generously drizzle with warm nacho cheese sauce for that extra gooey goodness!
5. Best enjoyed immediately! Add extra cheese sauce on the side, or spice things up with jalapeΓ±os, sour cream, or guacamole if you're feeling a little adventurous!
Enjoy!
