Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: ¼ tsp almond extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk or heavy cream (for glaze)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
- Optional toppings: fresh berries, sliced almonds or chopped pecans, sprinkles, shredded coconut
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Unroll crescent roll dough and press into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, sealing perforations.
3. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract if using until smooth and creamy.
4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough base.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly golden and set.
6. While baking, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
7. Remove casserole from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
8. Drizzle the glaze evenly over the warm casserole.
9. Add optional toppings such as fresh berries, sliced almonds, or sprinkles as desired.
10. Serve warm or chilled for a delightful dessert.
