👩🍳 Instructions
Prep the Dough
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
Combine Wet & Dry
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
Shape the Twists
Divide the dough into 16 equal portions.
Roll each piece into a rope about 1 inch thick and 6–8 inches long.
Twist each rope into a spiral or pinwheel shape and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Flatten slightly if desired.
Chill (Optional)
For better shape retention, chill the shaped twists for 15–30 minutes before baking.
Bake to Perfection
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and centers are set but still soft.
Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
