Does anyone else here make Russian or Christmas tea? I made a small batch (3 jam jars) of it last night. My husband requests it every year. I'm not sure how much of an Appalachian thing it is, but I never had it til I moved to Northern Alabama (Cullman).
I make mine with 2 cups sugar, 2 cups tang, one cup lipton unsweetened instant tea, 1 scoop country time lemonade, and clove and cinnamon to taste. You add it to hot water, up to you how much mix and how much water. You can use artificial sweetners or leave out the white sugar, too. Then just adjust as needed. It looks real pretty in the jars, too.
