🧼 Homemade Slime Recipe 🧪
Ingredients:
For the slime base:
1/2 cup white school glue (such as Elmer’s)
1/4 cup liquid starch (found in the laundry aisle)
1/4 cup water
Food coloring or washable paint (optional, for color)
Glitter, small beads, or mix-ins (optional, for added flair)
Instructions:
Mix the base: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the white school glue and water. Stir until smooth and fully incorporated. If you’d like colored slime, add a few drops of food coloring or a small amount of washable paint. Mix well to evenly distribute the color.
Add mix-ins (optional): For extra sparkle or texture, stir in glitter, tiny beads, or other mix-ins at this stage. Customize the slime to suit your preferences!
Incorporate the liquid starch: Slowly pour the liquid starch into the glue mixture while stirring continuously. The mixture will begin to thicken and pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Knead the slime: Once the mixture forms a sticky blob, use your hands to knead it thoroughly. It may feel slightly sticky at first—this is normal! Continue kneading for 2-3 minutes until the slime becomes smooth, stretchy, and no longer sticks to your hands.
Adjust consistency (if needed): If the slime feels too sticky, add a few more drops of liquid starch, one at a time, and knead again. Avoid adding too much, as it can make the slime stiff.
Store and enjoy: Place the slime in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag when not in use. Properly stored, it can last for up to two weeks.
