Hot Fudge Pie
Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar until combined. Let cool slightly.
Whisk in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract. Batter will be thick.
Pour batter into the prepared pie plate and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the center is set. Do not overbake.
Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. The pie will firm up as it cools.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
