Chocolate Ganache Layer Cake with Vanilla Cream
You Will Need (Cake Layers):
1¾ cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup hot coffee or hot water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Vanilla Cream Filling:
1½ cups heavy cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Ganache:
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Topping:
Chocolate curls or shavings

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three 8" cake pans.
2. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl. In another, whisk buttermilk, eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla.
3. Add dry to wet, then stir in hot coffee or water until smooth.
4. Divide evenly into pans and bake 22–25 mins. Let cool completely.
5. Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Pipe between cooled cake layers.
6. For ganache, heat cream until hot. Pour over chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Cool slightly, then pour over the top.
7. Finish with chocolate curls.
