PANCIT CANTON Guisado
Ingredients:
• 450g sliced pork or Chicken strifes
• 400g mixed pancit canton
• 5 cups hot water or tap
• 2 carrots, julienne cut
• 200g green beans
• 2 medium sized onions
• chopped celery
• 6 cloves garlic
• 2 tbsp oyster sauce
• ground black pepper
• cooking oil
• soy sauce (taste accordingly)
Instructions:
In a heated pan with oil, stir-fry the carrots for 2 minutes. Next add the green beans, also stir-fry for 2 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
Sauté the onion for 20 seconds. Then add the garlic, saute until fragrant. Add the sliced pork, stir-fry for about 3 minutes on medium heat. Sprinkle with pepper and add soy sauce, stir-fry for a minute.
Add oyster sauce, stir-fry until absorbed.
Add water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until the pork is tender. Remove the pork from the pan and set it aside.
Drop the Pancit Canton, cook until the Canton has loosened, stir and cook for 2 minutes. Add the cooked pork, stir and cook for 1 minute. Then put the fried vegetables and celery. Mix well until all ingredients are combined. Turn off the heat.
