White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup macadamia nuts, roughly chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts evenly throughout the dough.
7. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before lifting out using the parchment paper.
10. Cut into bars and serve.
