🇮🇹 Caprese Salad
Fresh, light, and bursting with flavor—Caprese is the essence of Italian summer on a plate.
Ingredients:
• 8 oz (225 g) fresh mozzarella, sliced
• 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
• A handful of fresh basil leaves
• 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Arrange sliced tomatoes and mozzarella on a plate, alternating and overlapping slightly.
2. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the slices.
3. Drizzle generously with olive oil.
4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
5. Serve immediately, optionally with crusty bread.
