Slow Cooker BBQ Beef
3 pound chuck roast
1 onion, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup catsup
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt or to taste
1 teaspoon black pepper or to taste
Using a paper towel, lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker crock with vegetable oil.
Place chuck roast in slow cooker
Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl, pour over chuck roast.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7 - 9 hours or until meat pulls apart easily.
Serve warm topped with caramelized onions on buns.
