Roasted Garlic and Herb Compound Butter
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 head garlic
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cut off the top portion of the head of garlic to expose the cloves inside.
Place the head of garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap tightly in the foil.
Roast the garlic in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
Allow the roasted garlic to cool slightly, then squeeze the cloves out of the skins into a small bowl.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, chopped rosemary, salt, black pepper, and roasted garlic cloves.
Use a fork or spatula to thoroughly mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
Transfer the compound butter onto a sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll it into a log shape, twisting the ends to seal.
Refrigerate the compound butter for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
Once firm, slice the compound butter into rounds or use as desired.
Serve the Roasted Garlic and Herb Compound Butter with warm bread, grilled steak, roasted vegetables, or any dish of your choice.
Enjoy the rich flavor of this delicious compound butter!
