Honey Garlic Baked Salmon in Foil

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet (skin-on or skinless)
3 tbsp honey
3 tbsp soy sauce (or low-sodium soy sauce)
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp melted butter (or olive oil)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Foil and Salmon:
Place a large piece of aluminum foil on a baking sheet. Spray it lightly with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
Place the salmon fillet in the center of the foil, skin-side down if applicable. Season it with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
3. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, melted butter, and minced garlic.
4. Coat the Salmon:
Pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over the salmon, using a spoon to spread it over the entire surface.
Fold the sides of the aluminum foil over the salmon, covering it completely and sealing it to create a foil packet.
5. Bake:
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet (around 10 minutes per inch of thickness).
Open the foil carefully (watch out for steam) and baste the salmon with the sauce from the foil.
For a caramelized finish, broil the salmon for an additional 3-4 minutes with the foil open.
6. Garnish and Serve:
Remove the salmon from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
Serve warm, drizzling the sauce from the foil over the salmon for extra flavor.
