Bold, juicy, spicy—your plate’s ultimate power couple!
📝 Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1-inch thick)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & black pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp butter (for basting)
For the Cajun Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
🍽️ Directions:
1️⃣ Prep the Steak:
Pat steaks dry, rub with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let them rest at room temp for 20 minutes.
2️⃣ Sear the Steak:
Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add steak and sear 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, basting with butter in the last minute. Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
3️⃣ Season the Shrimp:
In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and lemon juice.
4️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred. Don’t overcook!
5️⃣ Assemble & Garnish:
Plate the sliced steak, pile Cajun shrimp on top, and finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
