Grandma's Secret: Crispy Fried Potatoes with Golden Onions
Ingredients:
4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced potatoes in batches, frying them until golden brown and crispy. This should take about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the potatoes and set them aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until they become soft and golden brown, around 10-12 minutes.
Add the crispy potatoes back into the pan with the onions and toss them together gently.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika for extra flavor.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
