Step up your brewing game with our easy-to-follow recipe for Homemade Rhubarb Beer. It's fruity, tangy, and absolutely perfect for sharing! 🍻🌟
Ingredients:
8 cups chopped rhubarb
1 gallon water
1 lb light malt extract
1 oz hops
1 cup sugar
1 packet ale yeast
Directions:
In a large pot, bring the rhubarb and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes to extract the flavors.
Strain the liquid into a fermentation bucket, discarding the rhubarb solids.
Stir in the malt extract and sugar until fully dissolved.
Bring the mixture to a boil again, then add hops. Boil for about an hour to reduce the mixture slightly and infuse the hop flavors.
Cool the mixture to room temperature, then transfer to a sanitized fermenting vessel.
Sprinkle the ale yeast over the liquid and stir gently to distribute.
Seal the fermenter with an airlock and allow the beer to ferment for about two weeks in a cool, dark place.
Once fermentation is complete, bottle the beer with a small amount of sugar to aid in carbonation.
Allow the bottled beer to condition for at least two weeks before chilling and serving.
