Skillet Porterhouse Steak

Perfect for a Romantic steak dinner at home! Serve it up with some good brown and serve rolls or yeast rolls.

~~Ingredients ~~
1 Porterhouse Steak
1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 sprig rosemary
1 tablespoon butter plus 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Dried parsley flakes

~~Instructions ~~
Set oven to broil.
To prepare your steak, let it come to room temperature, then pour the liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce onto your steak and massage it in good on both sides. Season your steak with the garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper.
To an oven safe skillet or cast iron skillet, add your vegetable oil, rosemary and 1 tablespoon of butter. When the butter is melted and the skillet is hot, add you steak. Brown it quickly on both sides, about 2 minutes, searing in the flavor.
With your rack placed on your high position in your oven, add your skillet and broil your steak 3 to 4 minutes on each side. If you like it more raw broil for less time. If you like it well-well done, broil it for another minute or two. As soon as you remove the steak for the oven, season it with salt to taste. Then add your teaspoon of melted butter and dried parsley flakes. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before you cut into it. Accompany with your favorite steak sauce.

**Note...The reason you wait til last to season your steak with salt is because salt draws juice out of steak. This can also be done with a T-bone, Ribeye or New York Strip.
