Philly Steak Cheese Fries 🍟🧀

Elevate your snacking game with these loaded fries topped with savory steak and melty cheese! Perfect for sharing or diving in solo!

Ingredients:
- 1 lb steak, thinly sliced
- 20 oz bag McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries or your preferred fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8-10 slices White American cheese
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:
Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for crispy fries.

2. Cook the steak:
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the thinly sliced steak. Season with garlic salt and black pepper. Cook the steak for about 3-4 minutes, ensuring it is browned on all sides. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

3. Sauté the vegetables:
In the same skillet, reserve 1 tablespoon of the juices and discard any excess. Add the sliced green bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Sauté on medium heat for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp. Remove the sautéed veggies and set aside.

4. Layer the fries and toppings:
Place a single layer of waffle fries in the skillet or a baking dish. Top with 4 slices of White American cheese to create a cheesy base. Next, add a layer of the cooked steak followed by the sautéed vegetables. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the remaining cheese slices on top.

5. Bake:
Carefully place the skillet in the preheated oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbling.

6. Serve:
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving hot. Share with friends or enjoy on your own!
